The Azerbaijani Girl

This painting shows a young woman adorned in a traditional crown, holding a pomegranate as a central symbol of her heritage. Behind her, various cultural markers—from the Flame Towers and industrial derricks to tea culture and the city of Shusha—are depicted in a blue-toned collage that illustrates the multifaceted identity of Azerbaijan. I drew this – I wanted to portray the spirit of the modern Azerbaijani woman who stands as a guardian of our nation’s history, prosperity, and cultural soul.
